Quick Walkthrough

1. Ask Milara Orvayn at the Eight-Bones Temple about duties and Foul undead.
2. (Optional) Speak with Bralos Sadari in the Catacombs: Gateway for directions and the Narsis Catacombs Key.
3. Proceed through Catacombs: Endeavor's Lament and into the Council Quarter sewers.
4. Defeat Faengorn in the south Council Quarter sewers .
5. Return to Milara.

Detailed Walkthrough

For your first task, Milara Orvayn desires that you destroy the source of foul undead that have been invading the catacombs beneath Narsis. These, being skeleton warriors, differ from the acceptable undead of the good and proper Dunmeri ancestral tradition. You are told to enter the catacombs and speak with Temple members there to identify the possible source of the problem. The temple members she names are Bralos Sadari, Riraynea Omayn and Evulen Hlaalu.

The Catacombs: Gateway can be accessed from the Foreign Quarter, and it's here that you'll find Bralos Sadari, who both passes you the Narsis Catacombs Key and names a section of the catacombs called Endeavor's Lament as the place to look. You can get to this section by leaving the Gateway into the Crossroads area, and then entering Endeavor's Lament to the north. Then fight your way through this area to reach a door to the sewers beneath the Council Quarter.

You'll initially arrive in the central sewers, but should follow the bones on the ground to reach the south ones. You'll find the necromancer Faengorn in this area. Kill him and then return to Milara.

Notes

• Milara's introduction to this quest differs slightly if you have completed Repairing the Breach, in which case you'll be directed straight to the sewers under the Council Quarter.
