Quick Walkthrough

1. As Blackcap or higher, talk to Silniel the Maven about a gang of thieves.
2. Travel to Helnim.
3. (Optional) Ask residents of the town about the gang to narrow down their location.
   • Nileno Dralara can be helpful here.
4. (Optional) Speak to Falkoth about the gang of thieves with 80+ disposition.
5. Speak to the gang and complete Greedy Hofmund's tasks.
6. Return to Silniel for a reward.

Detailed Walkthrough

If you speak to Fitz-Fitz while ranked Blackcap or higher in the Thieves Guild, she will inform you that Silniel wants your help with a gang of thieves in Helnim. Silniel has been receiving reports of multiple robberies of merchants in Helnim for a while. After a failed heist of the vault in Tel Gilan, one of the thieves was caught and informed the Legion about the operation, resulting in a manhunt for the gang. Silniel asks you to travel to Helnim, locate the gang, and recruit them for the Guild.

Leads are sparse in Helnim. None of the citizens offer any information. Speaking to the guards will point you to Servas Capris, the commander of the local garrison. He also doesn't have any leads, but a list on his desk of affected businesses can help narrow things down. None of the merchants know anything, but there is a notable absence on the list. Feladir, the captured thief, is tight-lipped to start with, but a few successful threats will yield the vague belief that the gang is hiding out in Helnim proper. The only useful lead comes from Nileno Dralara, the town beggar, located opposite the Chapel of Kynareth. Paying her gives you a lead to Falkoth, the clothier just down the street.

Falkoth initially plays dumb, but he can be intimidated, persuaded, or confronted with evidence to get him to admit the truth. The gang, led by Greedy Hofmund, is hiding in his basement. Talking to Hofmund reveals that Caedan Jorval, the head of ZBC security, betrayed the gang and left Hofmund no choice but to ally with the Thieves Guild.

• Falkoth carries the key to his basement, but cannot be induced to give it to you.

60		I found a group hiding in the basement of Falkoth, the clothier. They did not look pleased to see me.
90		Falkoth, the clothier in Helnim, admitted that a gang of thieves has been using his business as a hideout. According to him, Hofmund is the mastermind of the operation.
100	Finishes quest	I invited Hofmund to join the Thieves Guild. He told me that he and his gang would join, but not before I took care of a few jobs for him.
110	Finishes quest	Servas Capris rewarded me for informing him of the location of the Helnim gang.
500	Finishes quest	I have told Caedan Jorval where he can find Helnim's gang of thieves.
510	Finishes quest	With their leader dead, I won't be able to recruit the gang of thieves in Helnim.
