Quick Walkthrough

1. Ask Chavana Emalur at the Shrine of the Hidden Saints about duties and Bedal Maryndo.
2. Find Bedal Maryndo in the St. Veloth Quarter sewers and either:
   • Cast a spell that can cure Common Disease.
   • Give him a Potion of Cure Common Disease.
3. Speak to Goler Urano in the same sewers about the skooma shakes.
   • Either:
     • Give Bedal some Skooma.
   • Or:
     1. Speak to Inise Llarvu in the same sewers about the skooma shakes.
     2. Bring Drumpear Seeds, Beetle Resin and Waterskin to Inise for her remedy.
     3. Bring Inise Llarvu's Remedy to Bedal.
4. Return to Chavana.

Detailed Walkthrough

The Shrine of the Hidden Saints in Narsis' Market Quarter ministers to the city's laborers and its poor. The temple's master, Chavana Emalur, can be found in her room within. She has duties for you concerning one Bedal Maryndo. This individual is apparently very ill, and a friend to the Temple named Inise Llarvu has requested its help.

You're advised to visit the Beggar Tong in the sewers under the St. Veloth Quarter, so go there. There's an entrance on the west side of the quarter, by the riverside. Bedal Maryndo can be found in a room in the northeastern part of the area. Speak to him about himself, and you'll be prompted to cure him - you can do this either with a Potion of Cure Common Disease or a spell with the same effect. Once you've done so, he'll exclaim that it hasn't worked, and nothing has so far. He'll also tell you to "go and get Goler".

Head to the central room of the sewers where the Beggar Tong can be found. Here, Inise Llarvu can direct you to Goler Urano - who resides in a chamber opposite that room. Goler claims that Bedal must have the skooma shakes. He'll die if not moved into care at the temple, but Bedal says that you'll need to find a way to make the symptoms abate so that Bedal can move safely. There are two ways of doing this - one being to give Bedal more skooma, which you can pick up from the room next to Bedal.

The other way is to speak to Inise. She has a suitable remedy which requires three ingredients: Drumpear Seeds, Beetle Resin and a Waterskin. You'll need to go get these. Inise references a stall in the Foreign Quarter that sells suitable water - one such is run by Scelyn Ulanthas, who also sells the Beetle Resin. Another stall in the same area, run by the High Elf, Taurwynn, sells the seeds you need. Once you've mustered the ingredients, pass them to Inise to receive Inise Llarvu's Remedy. Bringing this to Bedal will restore his mobility enough that he feels he can make it to the temple.

Whether you gave Bedal skooma or Inise's homebrew, return to Chavana at the Shrine of the Hidden Saint. She'll give you three potions as a reward, or one only if you chose to give Bedal skooma.

70		I was able to abate Bedal Maryndo's withdrawal symptoms by giving him a Inise Llarvu's remedy. He said that he would go to the Shrine of the Hidden Saints for further help.
