Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
Unexpected summons[edit]
Once enough rapport has been reached and the previous quest is finished, Zerith-var will have a quest marker above his head. Talk to him, and he will tell you he received an "interesting summon" from High Cantor Viti. He will tell you that while he hopes the High Cantor is realising they share a common enemy, he suspects it's a trap and that he wishes to talk to Cantor Krin'ze first to get her insight and ensure her safety. He tells you he send Ja'kh to lead her to Dune in Reaper's March and asks you to join.
Travel to Dune. Krin'ze will be with Ja'kh just slightly north-west of the wayshrine. She will tell you that The Inquisitors see you and Zerith-var as the cause of the Rajaska outbreak and have forbidden contact, possibly at the urging of High Cantor Viti. Krin'ze will mention that it is unlike the Viti she known to try to lure enemies into traps, but that many things have changed. She will also mention Viti has a good heart, but is led astray by the Inquisitors. She seems to miss her former mentor quite a bit. She suggests that since Inquisitors aren't exactly good at subtlety you should ask around in Pa'alat to see if you have seen anything. She will not join you, ask it would be trouble if you and Krin'ze are spotted together, but asks if Ja'kh can keep her company.
Go to Pa'alat. Zerith-var will ask you to talk before walking in. He will express worry about the consequences of Krin'ze remaining sympathetic to you and Zerith-var, mainly that she may get isolated from her order and those within she cares about. Especially High Cantor Viti, as her mentor. He mentions that it can be difficult to lose someone like that, and worries that the loneliness that comes from it may allow the darkness to creep in. Dialogue will allow you to mention Talbira's spirit might be replacing the role of her mentor, which Zerith-var finds surprising yet possible. Even so, he suggest you two to try to mend the rift between Krin'ze and Viti if possible.
Continue to talk to the townsfolk. He suggests you talk, as he's still getting used to the way people talk and interact in this day and age, but will suggest you don't speak too directly. Dalzzo can be found in the water and will tell you he was told by a Twilight Cantor to finish his ablution quickly. He tells you that the cantor also told him she was there to meet someone and seemed tense, but not much else. Uzernji will start by telling you he knows nothing about the altercation. He will tell you it's about a Twilight Cantor who started yelling at someone who followed her and gave her a message, but that he didn't understand what the argument was about. He suggests you stay away however. Felaga Will ask you for gold to get out of Pa'alat. When asking, she will tell you she wants to leave because live if already hard, but a Twilight Cantor coming by made her feel like that was a bad omen for worse too come. She has, however, not seen the Cantor herself but only a courier asking about a cantor. The courier, in turn, told her about cantors falling to the Bent Dance which just makes her more eager to flee. She will also give you the scroll with the courier message, claiming she just found it lying in the dust. Read the scroll and you learn that The Inquisitors are blaming Viki for not stopping the Rajaska and the death of the Inquisitors ordered to assist her with that, as well as wanting to know more about the relationship between her and Krin'ze, as well a the relationship between her and you and Zerith-var. From here on, go to the meeting point, south-west of the village.
Meeting the High Cantor[edit]
Just before you walk up to Viki, Zerith-var will mention someone else is coming and asks you to hide. Jump into the nearby basket and you'll see a short meeting between an Inquisitor and Viki. The Inquisitor asks Viki to give her the location of Krin'ze, which she claims to now know. After the Inquisitor leave, which he doesn't do without a "warning" that her lack of cooperation won't be forgotten, Viki tells you tells you that you can come out. Obviously, she is more observant that the Inquisitor, as she noticed you coming and hiding, unlike him. Talk to Viki and she will tell you she wishes to make amends and ask for your help. She will also tell you she did not expect the Inquisitors to follow her here. She will tell you she wants to see Zerith-var's powers of redemption for herself in exchange for information about the Rajaska, including the den she currently uses as lair.
Zerith-var offers to show her his powers here and there, to which she will decline mentioning it has be in Orcrest. Before she finished talking, Krin'ze will run in and ask her when she planned to make amends with her after which Viki takes her apart to talk and Zerith-var asks to talk to you in the meantime. Talk to him, and he will express questions about Viki's change of heart and request to withness his skills, but is willing to entertain her for the sake of Viki and Krin'ze making amends. He will however, mention you two should be vigilant when vising Orcrest. While Zerith-var makes a portal to Orcrest, Viki and Krin'ze come back to join you. Viki will mention Krin'ze has surpassed her guidance, and will assist Krin'ze in learning Talbira's song as equals.
The Lost Sister[edit]
After you arrive in Orcrest, the High Cantor will tell you that your target lies in a ceilar up north-east. Zerith-var will tell them to make a portal with his moonclaw for them once you tho have reached that place. Go trough the dungeon to the spot marked on the map and enter the cellar. Inside, walk a bit further to allow Zerith top open the portal. Viki and Krin'ze will come trough and Viki will imminently run off. Follow her into the inner cellar and talk to her. She will reveal that the cellar was used to quarantine the ill in a time of plague and famine, and that her sister Eifa was there trying to resurrect the people they lost in a desperate bargain that caused the pull of the Bent Dance to ensnare her. She will also tell you that she killed her sister before she was fully turned into a Dro-m'Athra to prevent her soul from being lost by the song of banishment, and that at the time she thought of it as mercy done out of love but now realises Eifa is now lost and unable to reach Azurah's Crossing. She asks you, at this point unsurprisingly, to let Zerith-var invite Eifa's spirit forth and cleans it for both her and Eifa's sake. She also tells you that while it's not an excuse, Zerith-var's necromancy reminded her of Eifa which caused her to react very negative. From here on, she can also give you some more info about the Bent Dance.
Zerith-var asks you to help with bringing her forth, as she has already been dead for quite a while. He will make two orbs of corrupted soul energy appear. Dispel them by interacting with them, and they will merge in one larger orb. Dispel that one too. While he was nearly done, Grand Inquisitor Arsalan will attack you. Kill him, and Viti will run in worrying he has banished Eifa's spirit. Zerith-var will ease her worry telling her that his strength was physical alone and that Eifa is still near. He will then summon her spirit. After a short conversation in which Viti gets forgiveness from Eifa, and Eifa asking Viti to forgive herself, talk to Viti. She will tell you the Ravith-morna has her base in a shrine to Namiira in a defiled place called Predator Mesa in Northern Elsweyr, and asks you if you can silence her. Next, talk to Eifa. She will explain to you that the songs from Ravith-morna are a summoning a moon beast to pray upon the paths to the Crossing, pulling them to the void, so that no soul can enter Azurah's realm afterwards. After this, talk to Zerith-var.
Confronting Ravith-mora[edit]
Take the portal Zerith-var just made to go to Predator Mesa. From there, go to the north-east to find the shrine of Namiira. If you don't feel like fighting, it's rather easy to avoid the terror birds without triggering them by going passed the bottom of the map and walking around them. Once you're there, go trough the trapdoor into the shrine of Namiira and talk to Zerith-var. Zerith-var will tell you he had hoped to outrun is thoughts, obviously not learning much about handling emotions. He will tell you that to ensure the safety of the cantors, he will not call upon them until their song is needed. Make your way trough the shrine and enter the inner shrine. Inside, you'll find Ravith-morna holding her ritual. She will send two Ravenous Sa-m'Athra at you. Dispatch of them, then let Krin'ze sing her song to ensnare Ravith-morna. Once she is ensnared, it's up to you to dispatch of some void energy. After this, Zerith-var is supposed to attack Ravith-morna. But Ravith-morna will show him the memory he stopped you from seeing in the previous quest, showing everyone that not only did he not strike Ravith-morna but he turned his blade on Talbira.
This will enrage Krin'ze, who shares her soul and feels her pain, to the point the dro-m'athra start to take a hold of her. Due to this, the hold on Ravith-morna is lost and she quickly escapes. Viti quickly chimes in to calm Krin'ze down so she won't be consumed by the Bent Dance and takes her away, telling you to not follow her and wait for her to contact you. After this whole escapade, Zerith-var creates a portal to leave the place. Go trough it and talk to him. He will tell you a bit about the incident, and how he had hidden his guilt ever since. After this conversation, the quest will end.
