Brawlers are Nord ravagers found at Geirmund's Hall. You need to fight them during the related quest.

Brawlers can also be brutes. The two Brawlers near Gjoson have particularly low health.

Ravager[edit]

Quick Strike
A basic melee attack that does minor physical damage.
Uppercut
A melee attack that deals moderate physical damage and knocks you back if it connects. This attack can be blocked to knock the enemy off balance.
Cleave
The Ravager swings their weapon around, dealing minor physical damage to all enemies in front of them. This attack has no red cone indicator.

Brute[edit]

Quick Strike
A basic melee attack that does minor physical damage.
Low Slash
The enemy slashes the target's shins, dealing moderate physical damage and snaring. Blocking will reduce the damage taken, but not the snare.
Focused Charge
The enemy charges forward, doing moderate physical damage and knocking down any targets within the red rectangle. Blocking will reduce the damage taken and prevent the knock down. If the enemy does not hit anything, it will be stunned for a few seconds.

Quest-Related Events[edit]

Before participating in the Trial of the Body, they'll talk about the festivities. Female Brawlers:

"I managed to down to brawlers before I had to bow out of the Trial. Two!
Hah. Beat that."
"Drunken idiot tried to get inside my breastplate yesterday. Now he's got a while new smile!"
"My old grannie could take some of the milk-drinkers here. Course, she scares sabre cats with her grin."
"You going to fight for the title? Good luck!"
"I'd swear I know you. Have you ever been to Mournhold?"

Male Brawlers:

"This is the first year I've made it to the fest. It's so much bigger than I imagined!"
"You thinking of doing the Trials? I look forward to that fight!"
"You look familiar. Did we pass each other somewhere in Eastmarch? Windhelm, maybe?"
"I drank a mug of beer as big as my head! Amazing!"
"Sven and I thought we saw a werewolf in the forest. turns out it was Sven's dad, out for a stroll with no shirt. Hah!"

During the quest, Brawlers will randomly greet you with:

"Get ready to face a real fighter."
"Getting soft on all this mead. Let's see what you're made of!"
"Ah, a challenger! You think you can take me?"
"Think you can take me, milk-drinker? I'm betting no."
"Oh, this should be good. Let's see some blood!"

To which, you respond with:

You sure?

When you agree with the challenge:

Female brawler:

"Yes! Here we go."'

Male brawler:

"Damn right!"

After defeating them:

Female brawler:

"Just one moment. And I'll be ready for another round."

Male brawler:

"No, no, no. Not yet, friend. Still need a pull or two of mead to recover."

After defeating four Brawlers and before reporting back to Daljari:

Female brawler:

"That was some display. Ysgramor's strength!"

Male brawler:

"Ahh, a true fighter! Well fought."

If you speak to them after facing four Brawlers, but before fighting a champion, they'll say:

Female Brawlers:

"Good luck out there! You'll need it."

Male Brawlers:

"Hah! I won five coins betting on you. Thanks!"

After you defeat a champion and before speaking to Daljari:

Female Brawlers:

"Well fought! Well fought indeed!"

Male Brawlers:

"Well fought, and well earned!"

After becoming the champion, they congratulate you.

Female Brawlers:

"Nicely done, champion."

Male Brawlers:

"Make way for the champion, eh?"
