Amantius Allectus' House is a house in the Imperial City's Temple District, between J'mhad's House and Salomon Geonette's House.

It is the residence of Amantius Allectus, who is involved in the quest May the Best Thief Win, and his wife Caula Allectus. It contains three zones: Amantius Allectus' House, Amantius Allectus' Private Quarters, and Amantius Allectus' Basement.

Walkthrough[edit]

Amantius Allectus' House[edit]

On the main floor, there are two things of note. On the right as you enter, near the basement door, is the desk containing Amantius' diary during the related quest. There is also a door at the bottom of the stairs that has no key and doesn't lead anywhere.

Amantius Allectus' Private Quarters[edit]

In the private quarters, the locked chest near the foot of the bed contains some gold and a 25% chance of a higher-end piece of jewelry, while a locked jewelry box is hidden behind a clothing cupboard opposite the bed.

Amantius Allectus' Basement[edit]

The basement is where the owner performs his strange experiments on plants. There is a desk with several potted plants on top as well as blood stains and a novice mortar & pestle. There is also a door to the sewers in the basement, which Methredhel will use to escape the house if she steals Amantius' diary before you during the related quest.

Notes[edit]

  • The key to the house is carried by both Amantius and Caula.
  • Oblivion Remastered The small jewelry box in the private quarters is not present in Oblivion Remastered.
