Lore:Ring of the Wind

The Ring of the Wind is an enchanted ring from the province of Elsweyr. It is a legendary artifact associated with Kynareth, the Goddess of the Winds, or Zenithar, the God of Work and Commerce. Very little information is known about the ring, other than the fact that it grants the wearer great speed.

The ring was once worn by the nimble acrobat Kisimba Spring-Snow, who managed to land on her feet every single time, except when she landed on others.

The last living dwarf, Yagrum Bagarn, at one point befriended the sorcerer Divayth Fyr. At Fyr's behest, Yagrum Bagarn wrote a book that would later be known as Tamrielic Lore from the notes that he gathered over the centuries, listing the Ring of the Wind among various items of "unimaginable significance". By the Interregnum, copies of this book circulated throughout Tamriel, providing some general information on the artifact to its readers.

In 3E 427, the Imperial Cult had tracked the Ring of the Wind to a smuggler's cave called Nammu, in the northeast Grazelands of Vvardenfell. The oracle in Castle Ebonheart then sent the Nerevarine to recover the ring from the smuggler, Galmis Dren. In the cave, the Nerevarine met a manifestation of Zenithar, a man named Jon Hawker who was supposedly being kept prisoner by the smugglers. The ring was later lost. It was found in a body of water by the Last Dragonborn while fishing circa 4E 201.
