User talk:Vook/Dark Arts on Retrial
Can anyone tell me why this is an article? — Unsigned comment by 67.173.87.149 (talk)
Why is this an article?[edit]
My mother, a stuffy art history proffessor, would call fan fiction "low art". I cannot help but disagree. I don't believe in a division between "high" and "low" art. Fan fiction is a high compliment to the original artist, and an artform on its own.
However, it's very difficult to publish.
What better place to take a work and make it your own than a Wiki?
In this story, you have changed that necrophilia comment by Falanu from amusingly gross to sort of romantic and sweet. I salute you! Skyfire 11:12, 26 February 2007 (EST)skyfire
- There's a recent discussion about this at UESPWiki:Community_Portal#Fanfiction_and_Fanart. So far no conclusion has been reached. --TheRealLurlock Talk 11:38, 26 February 2007 (EST)

- Fortunatley some editors on this wiki have decided to create a section completely devoted to displaying Fan Fiction. This is good as members of the public like you, can read these wonderful stories. Just think, does a series of videogames belong on a wiki? Well obviously it can, can't it? --Matthewest •T•C•E• 05:44, 29 April 2008 (EDT)

Lore[edit]
I would like to point out a slight lore error in your story that you can choose to ignore. When J'Skar talks to the other mages, he mentions a 'Magical Nul' that magic comes from. The book Magic from the Sky says that magic comes from the plane of Aetherius. --Twentyfists 21:50, 7 March 2008 (EST)
Feedback[edit]
This is quite a nice story. A funny detail is that Falanu seems to be a necrophiliac. A good take on what might have happened after the Mages guild quest line. 9/10 Blue deep 02:49, 15 January 2009 (EST)
