When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).
Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox. If you would like to discuss the games or lore, consider checking out our blog, our Discord, or the forums. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors. Lastly, thanks once again for joining the UESPWiki, and have fun! — Wolfborn(Howl) 09:02, 26 August 2023 (UTC)Notes[edit]
Hey there, I hope you are having a good day! I've been looking over a few of your recent edits, and noticed you've been adding a lot of notes. Notes can be good additions, but that section should be more of a last resort for adding content that couldn't be fit in an other easy way. A good number of these shouldn't be notes, but should be incorporated into the body of the article. For example, In this edit the detail about tamed mammoths would be better in the body of the article. Or this one, which could easily be incorporated and would make more sense on the article alongside the line itself. Here's an example of doing this.
Some others are a bit too minor for what we would normally want, like this one. There are many possible small facts about any individual TES topic, but documenting them all would make articles overly long, and distract from the more important information.
It can be a bit trickier adding content directly into articles, but in the long run, if it's an important detail, it will be for the best. If you have any questions about this, or want any help, with editing, please just let me know! --AKB Talk Cont Mail 21:40, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hey, per your reply on my talk page, I readded one of the notes to about the briarhearts. The other one was a bit too speculative in my opinion, as the seed could also be red, as well as covered in blood. And at that point, having a note to say that the seed in a person's chest cavity is covered in blood is not that noteworthy. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 04:34, 8 May 2024 (UTC)
