Cartil Florius, in The Black Ogre Tavern after being expelled

Cartil Florius is an Imperial mage and Retainer in House Telvanni who is supposed to be carrying out a census of Ranyon-ruhn. He has run into a bit of a problem with the data gathering, and needs somebody to help him out.

Florius does not appear until the related quest is started. Depending on how you resolve the quest, he is either removed from the game or moved to The Black Ogre Tavern in Nivalis.

He wears a common robe and a pair of common shoes.

Aside from his natural charm and ability to absorb fatigue from others, he knows the following spells: Burden, Calming Touch, Chameleon, Cure Common Disease, Cure Common Disease Other, Detect Key, Grave Curse: Health, Great Open, Ondusi's Open Door, Regenerate, Rilm's Cure, Sanctuary, Shadow Form, Shield, Silence, Soothe the Savage Beast, Strong Open, Variable Resist Common Disease, Variable Resist Fire, Variable Resist Frost, Variable Resist Magicka, Variable Resist Poison, Variable Resist Shock, Vivec's Kiss, Weakness to Common Disease, Wild Earwig, and Wild Open.

"Ah, %PCName. Any news on the census?"

If he has been expelled from House Telvanni:

"Oh. It's you. Hi."

• census:

"Ah, well, you see... I'm having a bit of trouble dealing with one particular resident. Erm, Brelar Gildaren. He, well, just flat out refuses to even discuss anything with me. Just calls me a "filthy n'wah" and chases me out of his house. Listen, could you try and talk some sense into him?"

"Ah, that's exactly the information I needed! Excellent. Here, %PCName, could you take this report to Nevrile? I fear if I see her personally, she'll punish me for my lateness."

• No, you must bear the consequences of your foolishness. All it would have taken was to ask his neighbors.: "What? You heartless fetcher! Damn, there's no other way about it. I'll have to see Nevrile myself. Thanks a lot, %PCName." (Disposition down by 10)
