Alvu Sareleth is a Dark Elf priestess and the Patriarch of the Tribunal Temple. She can be found in the Temple High Offices in Necrom.
Alvu has a major role to play in events following the conclusion of the Morrowind main questline and Tribunal main questline. In those events, she proves to be curious about the origins of the Ashlanders' rejection of the Temple, and therefore desires to speak with the individual who supposedly caused that rejection - Alandro Sul. As Alandro is long dead, this course of action requires that his spirit be summoned using the scattered ringlets of wraithmail into which that spirit was scattered.
The Matriarch is not alone in her curiosity, and becomes well aware that the Canon of the Ordinators in Mourning at Necrom, Simine Turethi, also has questions about these events:
"Her doubts have proven somewhat useful but I do not plan to let such behavior become commonplace."
This attitude towards the recent uncertainty in Morrowind's faithful following the events of the Morrowind and Tribunal main quests proves typical. Alvu is willing to probe a little, but there are still some 'truths' that she cannot accept. If (during Finding Their Way you choose to insist that the Tribunal have been at their core, malign, Alvu and Simine's disagreement will turn violent. If Alvu triumphs, she will crack down on dissent, later noting that: "all heretical elements subverting the unity of the Temple have been dealt with." Her death on the other hand will (as Simine puts it), put the Temple hierarchy into turmoil.
She wears a Necrom Temple robe and a pair of common shoes. She wields an adamantium staff, and carries a Scroll of Supreme Domination, a Scroll of The Tenth Barrier, five Exclusive Restore Health potions, and two Exclusive Restore Magicka potions. Aside from her natural resistance to fire and the sanctuary provided by her ancestors, she knows the following spells: Drain Blood, Fourth Barrier, God's Fire, God's Frost, Masterful Smiting, Rapid Regenerate, Summon Bonelord, and Summon Greater Bonewalker.
