Ghosts[edit]
Here for the crown and a 'Dunmer Ghost' appeared as I approached the junkpile in the middle where the crown spawns.
No interaction available, but he's not hostile. He has an elven shield that can be pickpocketed. He became hostile after I attacked and delivered the usual 'all the living shall fear the dead' and 'I shall return' shortly after that. Inventory was a full set of Elven armor, shield, sword. — Unsigned comment by 65.9.33.28 (talk) at 21:28 on 7 December 2011
- At the crown's spawn I got 3 Dunmer Ghosts that were hostile to each other and pretty much ignored me. Later on in the cave I saw a lone ghost look like he was signaling for help, but again, no interaction possible. BMFPoochie 07:56, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
- Now I'm wondering if it may have something to do with Keening and finding it before the ghosts.BMFPoochie 19:11, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
- I've had Keening show up at Mara's Eye Pond and there were no ghosts there. I think the ghosts must be a characteristic of this particular dungeon rather than Arniel's Endeavor. --DryHumour 02:05, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
- I have also seen Dunmer Ghosts at Tolvald's Cave - I don't know if this is a small Easter egg related to the Journals found throughout the cave. Remembering that Barenziah was herself a Dark Elf, I wonder whether in fact whether these refugee Dunmer were carrying the Crown at the time. Regardless, I definitely believe they are related to the Crown only, and not Keening. Threepwood87 17:59, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
- I think the three warrior dunmer ghosts are meant to protect the crown. They only appeared when I took the enchanted sword in front of it(I hadn't grabbed the crown yet when they attacked, so maybe it was my proximity to the crown instead of it or the sword that triggered the ambush), and they immediately attacked me. — Unsigned comment by 75.241.204.132 (talk) at 22:30 on 14 July 2012
- I've had the Dunmer ghosts attack when I picked up the crown. Three spawned abd they were all hostile and had elven armor and random elven weapons. Further into the cave, amongst many falmer, I spotted another dunmer ghosts. I killed the falmer and went to shoot the ghost with my bow and the arrows went straight through him. He was non hostile and could not be damaged in anyway. He walked up to the alter in the second big circular room to the northeast of where you start from in Tolvold's crossing and started dancing, flailing his arms around like a generic sprite from the arena in oblivion. Could not be interacted with in anyway including pickpocketing. Once the area was clear there was nothing I could do at all to get him to stop and/or die.--RareHugs 06:28, 6 August 2012 (UTC)RareHugs
- I didn't read this wiki before doing the quest so I had an interesting time. Every journal had a dark elf ghost appear and disappear. I picked up all the journals before getting the crown. When I went to the room with the crown, one dark elf ghost was standing by the crown in elven armor. I took the crown and no ghosts attacked me. The one ghost continued standing there. I left him alone and finished the area. My theory is that picking up the dark elf journals before getting the crown made them not attack me. Also, I missed the hunter's journal in the beginning and didn't pick it up the entire time. So the hunter's journal does not affect the ghosts. 147.47.240.106 09:05, 30 August 2014 (GMT)GD

[edit]
I've got to the chamber with the Crown but the passage is blocked by a wall of rock. I've tcl'd my way in and the room exists ok, but I've no other way in or out. Anybody else seen this?

- Quoting the article:
- "This area contains the Crown of Barenziah that you are sent to retrieve at the end of No Stone Unturned and will only be accessible after receiving the quest."
- This is a common mechanism used in Skyrim to keep you from entering quest-related areas that you shouldn't enter. ?• JATalk 22:42, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
Where does it mean[edit]
This has been marked as a question that needs to be answered. |
- When Vex sends you to Tolvald's Crossing to retrieve the Crown of Barenziah, sometimes it is not accessible because of the rock slide. To get on the other side of the slide use console command 'tcl'. Or there's a chain on the left rock entrance, after the patch 1.4
Moved from the quest page because if I'm reading it right this should be here. Can someone clarify where the rock slide takes place and I can put into the article. The Silencer has spoken 20:04, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
A few minor nitpicks[edit]
This article provides excellent detail of all parts of the cave. A few minor things I've noticed is that jewelry is annoying to search for in the piles of books in the one area of the third zone, and I only found a Gold Necklace in the alcove without the chest. Is there any way to get a fix on what item could hiding in the books precisely, and where they should be? This is very minor of course, but if everyone is finding what I suspect is supposed to be a dwemer-style boss chest (if somewhat poorly leveled on my current run-through) by the fire in the last chamber of the third zone where you find Falmer to eliminate, then that needs to be added.--Playerseekingbugs (talk) 07:56, 19 December 2012 (GMT)
- Well, found this little comment by me almost a year ago, and took it upon myself to note the easy to miss boss chest's location in the article. Probably should have done that long ago, but oh well. --Playerseekingbugs (talk) 04:54, 7 December 2013 (GMT)
