Correction to the Amulet of Mara reference in the article.
The ONLY Amulet of Mara that will work is the one you get from the Mara Priest for 200 gold. It has no enchantment, and a script that runs to enable the marriage dialog. All other Amulets of Mara have the restoration enchantment and do not have the marriage script attached. As well, there's a bug where the option to buy the amulet is not present. It may be caused by having the quest line for the Temple of Mara running when you inquire about marriage, but it's not certain yet. 24.156.216.144 13:49, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
- Incorrect on the 360. Any amulet works. You simply need to ask Maramal about marriage first. Tanos 14:58, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
- Incorrect also on the PC- the one I got from Maramel had the restoration enchantment. It worked as it was supposed to. Can anyone verify the bug? Aresvallis 20:01, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
- My experience also. --174.6.51.17 23:01, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
- Incorrect for me as well. I am on PC and picked up an Amulet of Mara in the first dungeon and wore it for the longest time. Once I spoke to Maramal the marriage dialogue began showing as normal. It's the only Amulet I've found or owned, and it's been with me through 2 marriages now. 24.70.80.224 00:20, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
- Any amulet works but you do have to talk to the priest prior to proposing, that is what runs the initial script making you join the "marriage faction"then you must have the amulet equipped to get the dialog option. Also I bought the amulet from the priest and it had the Restoration bonus on it.--98.251.179.175 22:16, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

(←) The article says "One can also go to Ancient's Ascent . . . you can find the amulet in the chest." Which is misleading -- it *may* be in the chest as random loot, but isn't *always* in the chest -- I just ran the "Source of Power at Ancient's Ascent" mission and it had an amulet of Stendarr, not Mara. I believe this is also true of the other locations mentioned -- Bleak Falls Barrow and the Hela shipwreck. It *may* be available as random "Amulet of <deity>" loot, but isn't a guaranteed drop.98.165.130.46 14:44, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

- I believe it should be in one of the chests. Note that there are some chests hidden, particularly behind the Word Wall and the waterfall (or at the origin of the water or whatever), or the one behind the spike door trap. I'm not sure if this is random, but I may recall finding an amulet, so it could be true ~ Dwarfmp 23:50, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
Gender preference
Do certain NPC's have gender preferences? Like, will certain NPC's only marry you if you are the same, or opposite sex to them? 86.145.92.130 17:56, 15 November 2011 (UTC)

- The above is not true. I have been playing on Xbox360 as a female character since the game came out, and have married female NPCs with three different characters. I have the original game with no patch updates whatsoever. Zydrate's statement is true, though you can only marry NPC's listed on the charts on this article unless you use console commands. Force Marriange
You can change an NPC to be 'marriable' if you use 'addfac 19809 1' HOWEVER, this only works on some NPCs and not all. I have had it work on Svana, but it did not work on Hroki, Idgrod the Younger, or Susanna the Wicked.
I believe there are factions that have a 'prevent marriage' tag to it, but I cannot find anywhere how to actually find out the ID codes. If someone could please come up with a list, then we can tinker with removing faction tags and finding out what keeps you from getting the wife of your dreams.
Especially since Hroki and Susanna have the sexy outfits you can't find anywhere else, outside of modding. ;) Sergius 15:44, 19 November 2011

- As far as I can tell, you can marry npcs with that code if you've done them a favor, or done 'setrelationshiprank player 4' with them selected. Confirmed with From-Deepest-Fathoms (I did her "Unfathomable Depths" quest and nothing happened, so I ended up using the setrelationship code anyway), but adding her to the potential follower faction doesn't let her follow you. Has anyone gotten it to work on anyone besides already marriable npcs?
- As for finding IDs, http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/1055-skyrim-viewer is good, I was thinking about making a list but I'm too lazy. It also has a bunch of other hidden information that might be useful. 75.140.99.233 06:07, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

- While experimenting with addfac/setrelationshiprank, I came across 2 interesting notes. One, I assumed that married npcs would be flagged to be unmarriable, but this is not always the case. I killed Alvor and then tested Sigrun, which worked; but then I decided to try without killing Alvor, and it also worked (and he showed up on the bride's side for the wedding, which was hilarious). Two, Ingun Black-briar seemed flagged as unmarriable, even after doing her quest and using the console commands. But then I got to thinking that addfac might be a variable like other factions. I then used 'addfac 19809 2" and the marriage dialog popped up. It would be worth testing some of the other unmarriable npcs with higher fac values to see if they work as well. (As a side note, I also added Ingun to the follower fac, did getlevel (level 12), then dismiss/disable/enable/getlevel; still level 12.. not sure why, but testing other ways to level her). — Unsigned comment by 72.202.201.199 (talk) at 13:26 on 30 December 2011

- I did Idgrod's letter quest, but was continually not given any further dialogue with her however when I used the "addfac 19809 1" command on her the marriage dialogue popped up and we proceed per normal. We are currently married and living out of her home (well her moms home, she owns the bed). She has natural marriage dialogue, in her own voice, Lover's Comfort works properly (sleep in her bed when she is near) and thus far everything seems to be functioning properly. I would think perhaps that your factionrank with Idgrod was too low when you attempted this. 24.70.80.224 00:28, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

There are two pages about factions http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Factions_A and http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Factions_B. Table of NPC Spouses
The table is too difficult to work with now, surely we could have a different section detailing the possible perks from marrying certain people (ie Follower, Training or Merchant) as the old table had been designed to just have what you needed to find and marry the spouses, not everything else about them. Also it didn't need to be sorted into male and female tables, the old table could be sorted to show male and female, this just takes up more room. Also i found it easier to just sort the table to find the male or females, rather than have to look at a whole seperate table -- Dovahfron613 12:46, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
-
- It takes up exactly 3 lines more room than before, which is not much. Although on the Follower and Merchant basis, where else would you propose to put the information? I think that the best suited place is where it currently is? The training section should all be on the relevant NPC page. The splitting was an experiment by me, I thought it looked better like that since most people are going to want to look at one or another. --Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 12:51, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

- Yes, exactly. I was wondering why someone mashed it up into one table in the first place, it was so hard to pick out names. I was tempted to split it, myself. Aresvallis 12:59, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
-
-
- Some NPCs, such as Revyn Sadri, actually may lose the ability to show training services if you marry them, that may not work, and there isn't that many of them. I actually like the table as it is, it's far easier for someone to choose the gender and race if they're looking for a spouse. When the genders were changed to be all mashed together, it was too hard to read. The table doesn't look that complicated to work with. Aresvallis 12:57, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

- I don't find it hard to work with myself, but I like really big and complex tables ;) I think the 'Merchant' and 'Follower' columns are worth keeping because they are directly related to Marriage, but moving the Training bits about (if we needed too) seems a lot of work for no/next-to-no gain. --Kiz ·•· Talk ·•· Contribs ·•· Mail ·•· 13:02, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

(←) Is there a real reason to list the merchant option? All spouses can buy and sell items and with the perk all items can be bought or sold to them. This may potentially confuse new players trying to figure out information on the table. (Fenrari 21:04, 25 November 2011 (UTC))
- You need the merchant option because some spouses will become merchants if you move in with them. while most who don't have the flag will not sell stuff if you move in with them (they must have the merchant flag, and I think you have to kill the other merchants that sell in that business she shares ownership with). — Unsigned comment by 183.39.62.204 (talk) at 16:42 on 29 November 2011

- I'm a little confused about this myself. Are there certain spouses who will not move in with you? The way I understand it (the way it's presented in the 'Benefits' section of this article) all spouses who move in with you will trade with you-- if they are already a merchant, they trade the same type of items as before, and if they are not already a merchant, they trade in general goods. That is how it is explained on this wiki page. If this is the case, why does the table list some spouses as merchants but not others? Why do some of the potential spouses have no category listed in the 'Merchant' column of this table? Is this table incomplete? Alphabetface 03:25, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
-
-
- Article/table makes perfect sense to me. I fail to see why anyone is confused. Not every spouse is already a merchant. Yes, this matters, because it changes what they sell you, by default, or if they sell you anything at all. What is so difficult about this? Vyc Ðarkshådøw 22:27, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

Shops with Infinite Gold
Perhaps this is only related to spouses that are followers as well, but after seeing that Marcurio continued to have a very sad sum of 0 gold in his shop, I decided to load him up with around 10k septims. And then sold to him for kicks. But the amount never changed while doing so. I can basically set this cap myself and have a portable merchant that can buy an absurd amount of loot wherever I am and never have to wait for him to resupply. Investment, without ever bothering with that perk. 24.102.203.72 12:23, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

- I just tried this on the PS3, and it didn't appear to work. Selling items this way added no money to the player and the items vanished, so it was actually just a way to get things to disappear. 108.38.196.87 02:53, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- I've had this occur for me too, but without any inventory adjustments - I sold a bunch of high value potions to my character's follower/wife Borgakh the Steel Heart and bought them back. It increased her apparent amount of gold, and I got the potions back, but upon attempting to sell anything else to her, the items just disappeared, and neither my gold nor hers changed at all. Could be useful for getting rid of large amounts of crap items if it can be reliably reproduced. WhackyGordon 23:23, 26 January 2012 (UTC)

Are there other ways to insult your spouse's cooking?
I can understand a spouse getting angry when you sell their cooking back to them callously. However, there seems to be yet another way to stop receiving home-cooked meals.
I noticed recently that the dialogue option to "make me a sammich!" has gone away with Mjoll the Lioness. I've been very careful not to sell her food back to her, HOWEVER, I definitely did get rid of a few homecooked meals to free up some carrying capacity. The trouble is, I can't remember how I got rid of them - pretty sure I dropped them on the ground somewhere, but I may have sold them off to a random vendor.
Can someone try throwing a few meals on the ground (away from their spouse) or sell off a few meals to test?97.90.159.172 23:34, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
- If you give some Homecooked Meals to your follower your spouse will also stop cooking.98.165.130.46 18:00, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

- Okay, my wife stopped cooking after I did the "Boethiah's Calling" quest, but it may be sheer co-incidence. FWIW, this is how I recall the chain of events: I stopped by my house in Riften, sold my wife a few things, collected my gold, and got my Homecooked Meal. Because I knew I was doing the mission, I stepped outside with follower in tow, dismissed the follower, then fast traveled to Windhelm to pick up the mercenary there. We then proceeded on foot to the site where I sacrificed him. After, I fast traveled to Falkreath (with no follower) for the second part of Boethiah's Calling. I return home, sleep until the shops are open, and voila, I have the "How's the store doing?" option, which should indicate that I've waited long enough, but the "Can you cook me something?" has vanished from her dialog. (note: PC w/ 1.3 patch) Can anyone correlate either Boethia's quest or switching (and possibly killing/losing) followers with their spouse no longer cooking? 98.165.130.46 06:29, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
Console Cheats
I removed the following console cheats from the article, since there are just too many things that can be done with the console, documenting them all can't be the goal. Usually they have the potential of messing up the game and they are completely useless for non-PC players. --Alfwyn 17:11, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
- Any NPC can be made a follower by the console command "addtofaction 5C84D 0" with them selected. This will add your spouse to the PotentialFollowerFaction and give him/her the necessary dialogue to be selected as a follower.(Note: This does not seem to work with Shahvee. Possibly due to the fact that the required voice clips aren't included for female Argonian followers.) If you use the above console command, note that your spouse doesn't seem to have the semi-essential tag and as such will PERMANENTLY DIE when hit for high enough damage.
- If your spouse dies, you will not be able to remarry. However, you can use the Console to reset the quest and circumvent this limitation.
- Remove any Amulets of Mara from your inventory
- Enter the following into the console:
setstatge RelationshipMarriage 10
- Purchase an Amulet of Mara from Maramal, and complete the quest as usual—wear the amulet, find a spouse, agree to marry, and have a wedding.
- On the PC, many NPC's not found on the default marriage list can still be married using the console command
addtofaction 19809 1
. To raise their disposition usesetrelationshiprank player 4
. Spouses achieved using these commands will still have the same necessary dialogue and functions as a "vanilla" spouse.- Using the above may potentially cause errors in the game if used on Main Quest NPCs, Khajiit/Bosmer characters. The former because the scripting isn't designed for characters like Esbern to marry the character and because some of these characters die as a result of progression in the story line. The latter case because these characters may not have the proper voice files for Marriage to be initiated.
(←) I have to disagree. Where else would you find this information? It has to be noted somewhere otherwise people wouldn't know how to do it. I suggest moving them to a sub-topic of hacks. <rant>Besides interjecting your own view points on cheating and whether people should be allowed to cheat is completely biased and irrelevant-- not to mention these are actually hacks, not cheats. - I liked having the console commands for forcing NPC marriage, and a couple different methods for divorce featured in the main page. It was one the things I needed to find and I had to look on the skyrim wikia site instead. The information about turning someone into a follow is also handy, because I'd like to be able to adventure with my wife. Info on how to increase her skills and outfit, etc... I think would be best left on a different page however, as it doesn't really pertain to marriage. 24.70.80.224 00:49, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
Spouses as followers and their skills
A spouse that is not also a follower is at a real disadvantage. The game is missing a middleground interface for them that I think should be present. They cannot cooperate with you in any meaningful way. For instance, they will never wear anything other than their default outfit, such that it strains suspension of disbelief. Sylgja of Shors Stone (easily fairest face of the valid female partners), will still wear that miners outfit and carry a pickaxe even after you move her to Proudspire.
The console helps. After making Sylgja a follower, I thought I'd see if Sylgja had some latent talent by taking her into battle. Sadly, all I saw was a more believable side of her other than the sickly-sweet dialogue pack they gave her. (Segue: I wonder what the voice actress was thinking when she was recording these: "Yes my love, what do you need?", "Hello my love, back some some adventure, I guess?". "Goodbye, my love." Perhaps pity? Visualizing the gamers on "Song of Skyrim": "This is all these guys are ever going to get. Better make it good." )
But I've seen some peasants break out into spell in a pinch. Is there a way to view an NPCs skill set? Or better yet, edit it. Leadingzero 22:17, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

- There are no Aela specific sound clips as a spouse. She like many other share the same sound; its a necessary evil since there's only a handful of voice actors doing all the parts. For instance Elsif the Fair shares the same basic dialog set and voice actor with Ysolda. We won't know until the creation kit is released but the dialog is likely chosen based on their personality set that could be the result of their character class. 75.80.97.155 00:12, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

(←) Some spouses that are not also followers will not engage in combat if you use the console to make them a follower. you will need to use getavinfo on a follower(or yourself) you want them to have attributes close to. then you will need to use the setav command on the modded spouse and change them to match. Unique Marriage Dialogue?
I know that Njada Stonearm has unique dialogue from the other potential wives, but do any of the other women have unique dialogue when married/marrying? I know many of them use the same voice for marriage dialogue. Lord Irvine 17:45, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

There are some less common variations-- For example, if you console it so you can marry Eola she has a very progressive dialog for marriage conversation; when asking for a homecooked meal, she posits whether you should be the one making her the meal. EDIT: Before someone starts saying there's a large cast of voice actors, which there are, with unique dialog they primarily voice characters and dialog in cinematic roles such as for key characters in the main quest line, thieves guild, dark brotherhood, primarily characters, etc. AFAIK nobody you can marry and no spouse dialog. The Wikia entry has them listed. 75.80.97.155 00:19, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
- Shahvee refers to her homecooked meal as a traditional recipe of her people. She also had what seemed to be unique lines at the wedding, something about being loyal "longer than even the trees will survive," but most of it has slipped my mind. --174.6.51.17 23:20, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
Where is my wife's house
I married Brelyna Maryon but I have no idea where her house is! Any help? — Unsigned comment by 208.53.83.49 (talk) at 03:29 on 3 January 2012
- She owns one of the beds in the hall of attainment with the rest of the apprentices, thats pretty much all she has. (Eddie The Head 03:47, 3 January 2012 (UTC))
Unable to marry D:
I already have an Amulet of Mara, and Maramel in the Bee and Barb has the following two dialogue choices: "Do you accept charity?" and "Can you tell me about Mara's beliefs?". Additionally, when I hand Lydia my Amulet, I get a dialogue choice about buying another, however I do not wish to waste my money. What can I do to marry other than revert to an older save? This is on PS3 by the way. — Unsigned comment by 87.102.64.193 (talk) at 14:12 on 21 January 2012
- You don't have to give the amulet to the person you want to marry. You wear it, then speak to them. And I don't believe Lydia is actually marriageable in this game without console commands, even though the guide says she is. She's not listed in the table of eligible NPCs on this page for that reason, and I believe there's a note about that in the Bugs section of this article. Try marrying someone else after speaking with Maramel about marriage. Alphabetface 14:55, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
Two Things... For Orc PC's
Seeing how its tradition to have more then one wife, that should be no problem and the cursed Orc Stronghold eventually becomes a wasteland, which is a shame. An Orc PC should be able to become Chieftian and rebuild it to become a STRONG stronghold. There should be back stories on the races of skyrim incorporated into the game. Just saying???? Seeing how upon creation of your character, "you" couldn't pick your stronghold or for a Nord pick your city. I'm an ORC FAN and love how Bethesda made them have A Kligon feel, i just wish Bethesda made it more interactive. URUKIA — Unsigned comment by 69.171.178.15 (talk) at 18:31 on 22 January 2012

"Your spouse will be semi-essential..."
- "Your spouse will be semi-essential; the player's spouse may only be killed by the player if s/he is a Follower. It is possible for your spouse to die during dragon attacks or raids on the village"
• I took the liberty in editing out false information
Raids on villages do not occur at any time ever in skyrim, nor has it yet been confirmed that it indeed has happened. Thalmor justicars do not come into holds and blow stuff up, bandits do not enter holds and attack entire towns, Ive seen this misinformation and hype on youtube as well as other social networking sites as well as 4chan ( and I hope I can trust that nobody will go kicking and screaming troll at the top of their lungs just because I mentioned a reference to a source of possible information that also happens to be a place that's full of drama), anyway, I have yet to see any proof of this occurring, and have over 400 hours in, and am level 49, so anything about thalmor agents or bandits entering a well populated area and attacking people is almost definitely taking up space with false occurrence / world events.
Thank you and have a good evening. 24.63.171.231 m&m
- "Raid" is perhaps overstating it, but it's quite possible for there to be hostile interactions between guards and roaming NPCs. In un-walled villages, civilians can become involved in the fighting too. I agree with your removal of the term "raid", but the spamming of your concerns to multiple pages isn't necessary. rpeh •T•C•E• 19:20, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
I was merely trying to get a discussion started, and stated my sources of rumors and information on the appropriate pages. Don't think because you have an account and can delete discussions that it makes what you say correct and what I say incorrect. Your opinion of my "rant" was nothing more than objective opinion, Is there a place I can talk to you privately?, and have you ever actually seen thalmor justicars , after joining the stormcloaks and taking over holds, interfering in the war and fighting against you?, i've played through the game 3 times so far, and every time I did the civil war questline, I never saw any thalmor agents, ever. And the most Ive seen is 1-2 forsworn stragglers attacking 1-2 miners, When a cell loads the mechanics usually never place a spawn point for an enemy npc close enough to any major town / hold for there to be any conflict save for the example I've seen, and I usually never join talk pages unless Im damn sure of what Im talking about, matter fact for this type of discussion to take place, we'd need to go to the ORIGINAL place I posted this "rant" for it to be valid.
In all honest I think you're simply stalking the discussion boards under bandit and justicar and deleting every post anyone attempts to make. — Unsigned comment by 24.63.171.231 (talk) on 26 January 2012
- No, what you did was spam the same message to several pages. This isn't a forum, it's a wiki. I'm an administrator of this wiki (hi there) and whether or not you have an account, you don't get to spam stuff all over the place in the hope someone might pick it up. If you do, it's my job to clean it up. I deleted one post straight off because it was a duplicate, and proposed another for deletion for the same reason. I haven't deleted your comments here.
- You are making what is often called the Gambler's Fallacy. The fact that you've played through three times is neither here nor there: you might simply not have encountered the behaviour. Skyrim, like other TES games, involves a great deal of random behaviour, and you have to accept that you might not get to see everything the game has to offer even after several play-throughs. Allied to that is the idea that some things really are impossible. If someone posted that they'd seen a Bandit become Jarl of Windhelm, I'd revert it as vandalism, but as I've already said, the idea that NPCs in un-walled cities might die from attacks by other NPCs is entirely plausible.
- No, you may not talk to me privately. This is a public wiki and if you want your ideas to be accepted they must be discussed in public.
- Also, you should note that the only useful contribution you made - the removal of the phrase about raids from the Marriage article - has been allowed to stand. So what are you complaining about, exactly? rpeh •T•C•E• 19:42, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
You're mistaking your assertion of knowledge for my lack of knowledge by claiming to immediately know how this game operates better than I do simply because you're associated with a website that keeps track of said game, [1] secondly, Don't mistake the situation, I'm not the type of person to claim " Unless Ive seen it myself , know of it, or have done it myself, nothing anyone says or claims to have done is possible unless I myself have done it or seen it "
There is only a limited amount of interactions that can take place, and you are commiting exactly the same fallacy you claim I'm making by saying im wrong when you just claimed yourself it's impossible to know.(also hello), Your follower cannot die to raids unless the follower is actually following you , however be that as it may, I only care about not having incorrect information on the main page and giving people false hope to randomly walk across a giant war that's taking place between justicars and stormcloaks and seeing subtle hints here and there about raids in villages when it actually never happens, bethesda didnt secretly throw in a surprise twist at the end, and you expect me to believe you know what you're talking about when you people can't tell me the exact location that the random mercenary you encounter marks on your map yet you try to tell me for certain you know there's more stuff to be found? 24.63.171.231 19:55, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
- TL;DR - You're wrong, and I can't be bothered wasting my time with you any more. This isn't a place to debate, it's the place to talk about the article. Your changes have been made and remain in place so as of now you're wasting my time. I hate people who do that. rpeh •T•C•E• 20:08, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
You can delete all this nonsense if you want and just keep the inital dialouge its not a contest or an argument or w/e its beginning to feel like something stupid.24.63.171.231

- I've seen Imperial soldiers entering Winterhold with a prisoner, leading to a fight with the Stormcloaks. Whether it can be called a "raid" is one thing, but whatever you call it, these things are possible ~ Dwarfmp 20:18, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, Ive seen that too, if you follow the imperial escort to wherever they're leading their prisoner there's always going to be a confrontation at some point if you follow them to the gates of any town or major city,if you follow the freed prisoner he'll eventually dissapear when he gets to windhelm main gate if he manages to make it lol, I can't wait until the CS is released D: I'm not saying interactions throughout the world are impossible, Im simply implying that a "raid" is more than 8-12 people, and have seen elsewhere on other oblivion / elder scrolls wiki's that people claim there are instances in which thalmor justicars come marching through a walled city and start annihilating everyone who's a stormcloak supporter 24.63.171.231 20:25, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, but the talk pages aren't for getting the word out that other places are spreading unsubstantiated rumors. If you see something on an article that you think should be discussed, use the talk page for that article, or change it yourself. If you want to start a discussion apropos of nothing, use the forums. -Vardis 20:33, 26 January 2012 (UTC)

- Well. I'm both a Skyrim noob ( Though I have PLAYED Oblivion/Morrowind, I never FINISH anything~ ) and a noob to this Wiki, ( Sadly, I have no pretty signature, nor can I make my posts do that cool indenting thingy). But although I am but a lowly level 10 in Skyrim, I have seen Thalmor agents already ( 6 of them, walking down a road near Solitude and claiming haughtily that they were on important business and not to be disturbed. If you address one of them, they will ask you if you worship Talos, upon which you can answer that you don't, do, or that it's none of the agent's business, and the latter of the two options will result in all six of the agents, if they are in range, attacking you on sight.), dealt quite a bit with that "Forsworn" nonsense ( Yes, I throughly, albeit unenthusiastically, completed that complicated quest in Markarth that I wish I'd never gotten into.), and witnessed a "bandit raid" on Riverwood ( About 4 or 5 men, all bandit outlaws, charged into the village, where they were attacked on sight by the villagers; who actually fared pretty well with my help, slaying all bandits whilst only one man, Hodge, the blacksmith, fell at the bandit's hands). So... anyway... just saying.— Unsigned comment by 96.28.99.236 (talk) at 00:27 on 18 February 2012

- To add your signature/time to your post, all you have to do is type (~~~~) without the parentheses at the end of your post. To indent, use a colon (:), or more than one depending on how far you wish to indent. Also, feel free to create an account. You could have a username rather than an IP address (then make it 'pretty' if you want), and pages will actually be updated more accurately for you, among other benefits. New members on the site are always welcome. :) Alphabetface 14:24, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

Spouses who disappear after the wedding
It seems that spouses who disappear right after the ceremony are not really gone forever. Although they get teleported to the ceremony, they have to physically walk home afterwards and this may take them a day or two, depending on how far it is across the map. But they do turn up at home eventually. OldMansBeard 21:45, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
Im unable to remarry
i got tired of my wife mauri so i killed her but i did it while sneaking in my home i dont know if thats why the courior wont come to me giving me a letter saying i can remarry or if its a bug and i cant remarry anymore .....help!!! — Unsigned comment by 75.97.130.167 (talk) at 01:18 on 28 January 2012
- As far as I know, there is no way to remarry in this game at all without using console commands. If you kill your wife, you can never marry again with that character. Sorry. =\ Alphabetface 03:05, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
- no courior will ever come but if you go to the temple of mara after killing your first spouse,go into your console commands and type "resetquest RelationshipMarriage", then drop your amulet of mara on the ground in front of you, then back in console commands type "setstage RelationshipMarriage 10" then speak to the guy that originally sold you the first one and the option to buy another one will come up. click that and the marriage quest thing will start over. pick up your amulet and go get remarried. sometimes theres a glitch and he wont give you a 2nd amulet so save if you dont leave ur amulet in the temple 174.109.211.167 02:08, 29 January 2012 (UTC)obessedwithrim
Shahvee
Shavee is both a general merchant and a vendor of potions that she apparently makes herself. I'm married to her and we live in the Whiterun house, which has an alchemy lab. She's frequently to be found there and always has a modest stock of potions to sell. She also keeps a fairly reliable stock of ammunition: Dwarven and Orcish arrows and soul gems, among other items. Can someone add this in the appropriate manner to the table? --174.6.51.17 00:10, 29 January 2012 (UTC)
- All spouses (and indeed, all NPCs of any kind) will "use" alchemy labs as part of their idling. They never actually make any potions though. All spouses will also have random arrows, potions, and soul gems as part of their inventory, because they're all part of the "general merchant" set. Aliana 03:12, 29 January 2012 (UTC)
