The dirigible

The dirigible's two locations

The Dwarven dirigible is a large airborne vessel that Lord Richton seems to have found in the Dwarven Ruins. It is first seen at the Imperial camp in the Ogres Tooth Mountains. Cyrus will say, "Imperial guards. What are they doing up here? And what kind of ship is that?" after which the ship flies off toward the Palace.

At the end of the game, during the quest Raze the Palace, it is docked on a high wooden platform in the Palace courtyard. Richton and Dram were going to assault the League hideout but their plans change and they prepare to escape for the mainland using the dirigible. Before boarding the ship, you fight Dram, and then you face off against Richton in the final boss battle of the game.

The ending cutscene takes place on board. While Richton feigns surrender after his defeat, Cyrus is ambushed by Dram with a dagger to his neck. The soul sword, powered by the soul of Prince A'tor rises in the air, slicing Dram in half and killing Richton with a fatal blow through the chest. Cyrus makes his escape from the dirigible while cutting and tearing the side open. This causes the ship to fall from the sky and crash land in the town square in a fiery explosion.

Notes

• The dirigible is shown in Morrowind with the Dwemer Airship Plans, an item needed for a Mages Guild quest.
• The term "airship" is not used in the game, although Cyrus does call it a "ship" once.
