Quick Walkthrough

1. Speak to Lurius Alro about duties and the Blade of Kenes.
2. (Optional) Get directions from Lurius to Vitta Barrow.
3. Travel to Vitta Barrow and recover the Blade of Kenes.
4. Bring the blade to Thelius Halgern.

Detailed Walkthrough

A collector of Nedic artifacts has located the Blade of Kenes and is willing to pay a very high price for it. Lurius Alro believes that this could be the solution to the Marshal's current dire financial straits. He asks that you search for the blade in Vitta Barrow.

Leave Brina Cross via the southern road, and follow it (passing some roadworks) until you see a brick road branching off on the left. The main road will turn right shortly after this point - just before it does, turn left and followe the bottom of the hill round to the east, continuing east until you reach the barrow's entrance.

Expect many undead inside the barrow. Once in, take the first two lefts to enter the Caverns section. Your aim is to get through this section into another exit into the main Barrow one, which will take you into an area that is otherwise blocked off by rubble. Two Minotaur Barrowguards watch over the final chamber in the far eastern part of the complex - defeat them, and then claim the Blade of Kenes. It rests on the body of a mummy named King Teptopratha.

Blade secured, head back to Brina Cross. Lurius will be so overjoyed that his days of desperately begging for loans will soon be at an end, but present the sword to the Marshal and those dreams will be swiftly dashed. For Thelius fancies it for himself and will not countenance a sale. Paying 1,500 gold for your efforts, he dismisses you. Lurius is diplomatic about this decision, but plainly disappointed.

Lurius asked me to travel to Vitta Barrow and recover the Blade.
