Quick Walkthrough

1. Speak to Jauristair Geric about his research.
2. Grab Jauristair's Research from behind the Aloe Vera plant next to Talgiana Crypt.
3. Bring the research back to Jauristair and either:
   • Accept credit as your reward.
   • Refuse credit and accept a Nirnroot as your reward.
   • Refuse credit or the Nirnroot and accept a Welkynd Stone as your payment.

Detailed Walkthrough

A scholar named Jauristair Geric needs help. To find him, leave Brina Cross via its southern gate and follow the Gold Road as it turns to the east. As you reach the Shrine of St. Horusia on your left, stop - Jauristair is to your right. He's agitated about his lost research, which he will talk about forever if you let him, so tell him to get to the point when the option comes up. Apparently he was enthralled by an aloe vera plant when bandits shouted at him - he dropped his research, ran, and hasn't dared return. He asks if you can retrieve it for him. Agree, and he'll note that the aloe vera that he was studying is just outside the boundary of the bandits' camp.

The camp is the southwest. You can kill the bandits or try to sneak around them. Jauristair's Research lies behind an Aloe Vera plant just to the right of the entrance to Talgiana Crypt, to the north of the campsite. Pick it up and return it to him.

Jauristair hasn't anything to pay you with, but will offer you a place in the research's credits once published. Refusing this sees him offer you a single Nirnroot instead, and if you don't want that, all he can give you is a single Welkynd Stone. Regardless of your reward, you will receive a one point boost to your general.
