The Helvor Family Crypt within the Stirk graveyard.

Helvor Family Crypt is the family crypt of the Helvors, a family of Colovian nobles who have historically ruled Stirk. The extensive nature of their crypt serves as a lasting record of their power and affluence, even as these have waned with time. The entrance to the crypt can be found at the north end of the town's graveyard, just northeast of the town.

A wide array of goods can be found as offerings for the dead, including armor, weapons, potions, scrolls, books, and coins, among other items. Hidden among the otherwise normal offerings are a few unusual items, including a sack of moon sugar and several lockpicks, which hints at the crypt's use by smugglers to covertly ferry goods in and out of Stirk.

A second area of the crypt leads to an open chamber, seeming being used as a store room for the crypt. This chamber was apparently never finished, as two of the chamber's walls are still natural stone and a passage opposite the entrance to the chamber leads to a undeveloped cavern. A cave door atop a high ledge at the far end of this cavern, accessible only by levitating or jumping, connects this area of the crypt to Wormusoel and the northern coast of Stirk via a secret underground passage.

Notes[edit]

  • The shape of the main crypt resembles the letters ZXT, which corresponds to the nickname of an old Project Tamriel developer, ZXT012.
