Body of Water:
Caracota River
Added by Project Cyrodiil

The Caracota River is one of three rivers planned to flow between the lands of Cyrodiil and Skyrim.

It is the middle one of those three rivers, with the waterway being planned to run between the Skyrim town of Nimalten and into Lake Rumare, bisecting the Jerall Mountains.

Due to the shifting nature of development planning, the exact course of this river may yet change. As of the Abecean Shores release in late 2024, it is referenced only in dialogue, where it is described as a prominent trade route within the Blue Circuit, and one largely dominated by a trading company named North Wind Traders.

Relevant Dialogue[edit]

  • "North Wind Traders is a company based in the Kingdom of Artemon which controls most river shipping between Skyrim and Cyrodiil. Unlike most large Cyrodiilic firms, which are governed by a board of directors, North Wind Traders is managed collectively by its shareholders, who may vote on company decisions based on the amount of stock held. In addition to the company's near-monopoly on Valcand and Caracota river transport, North Wind Traders profits from artisan and agriculture interests in North Colovia." - North Wind Traders topic
  • The Blue Circuit governs the Caracota and Torsus river tradeways into Skyrim and the northern reaches of the Nibenay. Its most prominent cities are Cheydinhal, which leads into the Valus Mountain canopy tunnels, and Quenti Turrai, on the north shore of Lake Rumare. The Blue Serpent, the vizier Narina Ko, oversees the Blue Circuit and its Imperial charters. - Blue Circuit topic
