Misfortune Teller

The Misfortune Teller is a watcher who can be found in the eponymous Misfortune Teller's Garden attraction at the Everlasting Fair.

Skills and Abilities

As an elite rank enemy, The Misfortune Teller is immune to crowd control.

Gaze

The Misfortune Teller shoots a fireball from its eye directly at its target as a basic ranged attack, dealing low flame damage.

Tentacle Whip

The Misfortune Teller swiftly spins around and releases a burst of flames while dashing in your direction, as indicated by a large red circle, dealing low flame damage, knocking back and snaring all targets in the affected area. Blocking prevents the knockback but not the snare.

Searing Glare

The Misfortune Teller shoots five red beams from its eye, all start in front of The Misfortune Teller and disperse in straight lines. There is no indicator for these. Getting hit by a beam deals moderate flame damage and stuns, though Break Free can be used. Blocking negates the stun.

Flaming Trident

The Misfortune Teller spins around on itself, sending out three flaming swirls forward rapidly, indicated by small red circles, dealing low flame damage and stunning each. You can get hit by multiple swirls.

Quest-Related Events

In return for locating the missing Fighters Guild squad members, the talking goat will ask you to find the broken pieces of the Rod of Revels, so that control of the Fair can be wrested from the Lady of Riot. He will suggest you check the Misfortune Teller's tent for a piece of the rod. After you speak with Madame Mysterra you can enter the tent and find yourself in an underground garden. After touching a few of the orbs that nixads direct you to, you will be taunted by the Lady of Riot and eventually teleported to the Misfortune Teller's lair.

The Lady of Riot will cheer for your death, as you start the fight with watcher:

Lady of Riot: "The Misfortune Teller predicts your doom!"

When you defeat the Misfortune Teller, the Lady comment:

Lady of Riot: "No matter. There are many more games to play at my fair."

You can then find and search the prize chest. Instead of a piece of the Rod of Revels, you will find a note from Brunnduhl.
