Hadurubel

Hadurubel is a High Elf mage and member of House House Telvanni. He aspires to rise to the next rank. You can find him and Urvel Favel having a magic duel on the side of the road in the Telvanni Peninsula.

Dialogue

You'll hear them insulting each other as you approach.

Urvel Favel: "Give up. Your magic is no match for mine!"

Hadurubel: "You think I'm afraid of your pitiful spells? Ha! I've seen more threatening netches."

Speak to him.

"He thinks that will impress the council? Well, wait till he sees the spell I created! Once the Magisters see this, they'll beg me to join their ranks!"

What's going on here?

"An exam. We're going to cast our best spells and see which one of us is fit to join House Telvanni. I'll win, of course, but I just have to figure out the best way. Stopping my opponent from casting anything would be ideal, or course."

Can you bind him?

"Of course! A spell to restrain him and stop his spell from completing. Oh, that's genius! Give me a moment."

He can't cast his spell if he's asleep.

"That's an excellent idea! And the best thing about it, is that my opponent will never suspect something so simple as a sleeping spell. He won't have any guards up. It's bound to work!"

If you tell him to cast a binding spell, he casts a spell that wraps Urvel in purple chains and suspends him off the ground:

Hadurubel: "Large spells take too long to cast!"

Urvel Favel: "You cheat! Let me go! I'll show you real magic!"

If you tell him to cast a sleeping spell, he casts a spell that puts both of them to sleep:

Hadurubel: "We'll see what you can do when you can't even open your eyes."

Regardless of your choice, neither Hadrubel nor Urvel can be interacted with further.
