"There's no way this is worth it. Just throw me back in the nearest cell and let me serve my time. Anything but this."

What do you mean, serve your time?

"You know, time—prison time. At least until Eveline paid my fine because she needed an extra digger. Turns out, I'm the only digger. Lucky me."

What were you in prison for?

"That's personal, isn't it? You don't see me asking about your horrible fashion sense, do you? But if you must know, I was a bandit. I wasn't a good bandit, but I made a living just the same."
