Not sure if this is listed anywhere, but I believe that the "and the occasional wayward mage crashing to the earth" might be an easter egg reference to a mage in Morrowind that falls out of the sky on your way to Balmora from your starting point (btw, that is the single funniest event in any game, EVER :) ) Lisan al Gaib 20:03, 12 January 2007 (EST)
