Even before the Oblivion crisis there was a Dremora mage that came through a dimensional rift to Tamriel. However, this magician was not just a mindless warrior, he was addicted to owning valuable and unique items. So he created a gate, north of Sutch. This door brings anyone who passes through into his personal world. You enter without equipment and with two options: to go back to Tamriel without your belongings, or try to gain back by surviving the murderous game: the crossing of the city of Rohe.
