Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
The Time Wound[edit]
This quest picks up immediately from the previous quest, A Wound In Time. Upon informing Ilav about the magical barrier within Beldaburo, he will cast a blessing on you to allow you to pass through the barrier. He will task you with recovering the Order of the Hour's Elder Scroll before it can be used to open a Time Wound.
You must return to Beldaburo and make your way back to the locked door to Beldaburo Anga, the second zone of the dungeon. This time, you will be able to pass through the door as normal. Fight your way through the undead enemies on the other side until you locate the Time Wound, a swirling vortex of light in the center of the final chamber.
You will need to defeat Corelian, a nether lich who can be found in the final chamber. Luckily, despite his ghostly apperance you can hit him with any weapon. Annihilate him and you will then be able to loot the lich's body for a key, a diary, and an Elder Scroll. The diary provides some context behind the lich's motives; it outlines Corelian's descent into madness, and their attempt to use the Scroll to travel back in time and warn their past self of the perils of lichdom. To progress the quest, you only need to grab the Elder Scroll.
Return the Scroll to Ilav for your reward. He will thank you for restoring the flow of Time and will name you a Paladin of the Hour, completing the quest. You can speak with him at any time to claim the rewards listed below—equipment befitting a Paladin of the Order.
Rewards[edit]
After completing the quest, Ilav Dralgoner will give you as many copies as you like of the gear listed below. Each armor piece has both a light and heavy version with the same name. The items are leveled, meaning you can obtain more powerful copies as you level up. Each item has a value of zero, so you will not be able to sell extra copies.
In addition to the items granted by Ilav, Snak gra-Bura can outfit your horse with a matching set of horse armor. If it's your first time obtaining horse armor from her, she will offer a set of Order armor for free; otherwise, it's 500 gold each time.

- Bow of Order

Journal Entries[edit]
Saving Time Itself (DEAk02) | ||
---|---|---|
Stage | Finishes Quest | Journal Entry |
0 | ||
10 | Ilav mentioned a Time Wound. I do not know much about it, but it is apparently being opened by an Elder Scroll. I must retrieve it at all costs. | |
20 | Ilav's blessing allowed me to go past the magic that blocked me. Time to face whoever is messing with Time itself. | |
30 | I defeated the lich that stole the Elder Scroll. I must retrieve it immediately. | |
40 | I took the Elder Scroll from the lich. I must keep it with me at all times and bring it back to Ilav as soon as possible. | |
100 | Ilav made me a Paladin of his order and will be willingly giving me any armor or weapon from their chantry at any time! I should speak to Snak Gra-Bura [sic] at the Chestnut Handy Stables about crafting a matching set of horse armor. |
- Notes
- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in random order.
- If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
It is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering
setstage DEAk02 stage
, wherestage
is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages. See SetStage for more information.

Bugs[edit]
-
In Oblivion Remastered, once you return from Beldaburo if you speak to him from horseback, he may not be able to finish talking to you after the blessing which will prevent your UI from returning, and requires a restart of the game.
