"All I ask for is a pair of boots".[edit]
Bloodmoon's Basks-In-The-Sun idle line "All I ask is for a pair of boots. How hard could it be" seems a clear meta reference to the base game. Should it be included? --Agiletek (talk) 05:13, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
- I would say no. Historical References are references to things in previous Elder Scrolls games. Bloodmoon is an expansion for Morrowind; it is not a stand-alone game, requires Morrowind in order to play, and as such is still considered a part or subset of Morrowind. The line is simply referencing a mechanic in the base game, not a previous game (i.e. Daggerfall or Arena), and as such doesn't qualify for a Historical Reference. — Wolfborn(Howl) 05:58, 11 July 2021 (UTC)

- I would say that reference should be removed. As with Bloodmoon/Morrowind, Shivering Isles is an expansion of Oblivion and requires Oblivion to run. I don't think it can (or should) be considered a "previous game" if you need to be running the game in order to access the content. In my view, "Historical References" are (or should be) references in one stand-alone game (and its associated add-ons) to previous stand-alone games (and their associated add-ons); I believe that was what the original intention was. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.) — Wolfborn(Howl) 03:33, 13 July 2021 (UTC)

References to the main Daggerfall quest story in books found in Morrowind[edit]
- Hello. I was somewhat shocked to find no Daggerfall section in this page.
- The book Where Were You When the Dragon Broke? found in Morrowind references the so-called Warp in the West. The greatly varied but all-canonically-confirmed ending choices given to the player at the end of Daggerfall are described through different perspectives.
- The book The Arcturian Heresy directly references Zurin Arctus, the betrayal by his battlemage, the activation and destruction of the Numidium, and the creation of the Mantella- all central and important plot background for Daggerfall.
- Also the book Corpse Preparation v I (among others, I'm sure) reference The Warp in the West by mentioning "The newly formed Orsinium," and King Gortwog. Orcs did not have their own officially-recognized province until the player's actions at the end of Daggerfall.
- I know these are just books, and the Arcturian book somewhat diverges from Daggerfall-established lore, but I see N'Gasta listed in this page as a reference to Redguard, so it seems books should be here. — Unsigned comment by 172.221.28.176 (talk) at 17:45 on 7 April 2022 (UTC)
