Udefrykte, Uderfrykte or Udyrfrykte[edit]
I am not sure I agree in choosing "Udefryke" as the name of the Lore page. "Udyrfrykte" was the original name, and as long as the monster type changes spelling each time it is used, I would go for the original until a canon is established by Bethesda. The original is also the version that has a reference to Scandinavian languages, even though a bit too poorly put together to resemble well enough a real Scandinavian word. —MortenOSlash (talk) 07:48, 7 April 2013 (GMT)
- I'd agree with this - my feeling is that this page name was chosen because it's the spelling used most recently, and thus most likely to be searched by users. But since the other two spellings both redirect here, it hardly matters. People searching for any of the spellings will reach this page anyhow, so I think keeping the historically original name is the best choice. The only time we've gone against that policy is when the original spelling is far less frequently used, such as "Summurset Isle" or "Vaernima". In these cases, the original spelling appeared in only 1 game, while the newer spelling appears in several. But the Ud*frykte spellings each appear in one game only, so none is more frequently used, which I think favors use of the original spelling. — TheRealLurlock (talk) 15:50, 7 April 2013 (GMT)

- My belief when creating the page was to go with the most recent, on the assumption that the previous spellings could have possibly been retconned. However, Thirsk, A Revised History appears in the Dragonborn DLC and uses the original Bloodmoon spelling, so a move to that would be appropriate. —Legoless (talk) 18:44, 29 February 2020 (GMT)
