Lore talk:The Monomyth
The Temple Zero Society[edit]
Does anyone know anything about the Temple Zero Society? It would help me check the validity of information presented in The Monomyth. Sage Montalius 10:45, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
- What do you mean by "the validity of the information"? This is like the Bible for the games. The characters within the game accept it without worrying about who the author is. --Brf 11:57, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

- I too am interested in this edit of the page by Nephele, from 2008. The link is no longer valid on The Imperial Library, so unless it can be validated in some other way, perhaps the whole comment should now be removed. Any reference to monkeytruth should not have a place in the "lore" pages of the wiki, IMHO. I am advocating for a removal of Nephele's comment only. The in-game book itself is lore, as Brf states above, simply by reason of being an in-game book. – Daric↝talk 07:02, 19 February 2013 (GMT)

- Thanks for that, RH, the link really does clear things up nicely for me, and I withdraw my suggestion to remove Neph's comment entirely. The fact that it may or may not be "monkeytruth" is invalidated by the fact that it was incorporated into the game, and thereby becomes accepted lore. You have inspired me to look for more broken links to TIL on the UESP wiki, as I know that TIL have undergone some major changes recently themselves.

- From reading this thread on the BethSoft forums through last night, it would seem that many people consider the UESP wiki to be a much easier to navigate "front end", if you will, for the wealth of knowledge that is available on The Imperial Library. I have a fairly good understanding of the {{TIL}} template now, and the list of Save Named Values that provides links from UESP to the TIL, so I might just start actively seeking any broken TIL links, such as this one was. Thanks again for your inspiration. – Daric↝talk 09:32, 19 February 2013 (GMT)

The fifth paragraph tried to make it say something different depending on namespace and it doesn't work. TorchicBlaziken (talk) 17:48, 13 May 2014 (GMT)
The Grey Maybe[edit]
It's been a challenge for me to find more info on the IS/IS NOT to know for sure if it's one thing or two things together... If two things together, then wouldn't the IS/IS NOT really be The Grey Maybe? It mentions The Grey Maybe being 'in the middle' of IS/IS NOT. But the term IS/IS NOT itself would be taken as maybe(?). - Is = Anuiel. Is Not=Sithis. In the middle of them is the Gray Maybe, which is Nirn. All together they are the beginning of existence itself. I'm not sure what you mean by one thing and two things? They are two things which make up a dual force. Jeancey (talk) 21:59, 31 August 2014 (GMT)
- OK, that's what I first thought! Thank you. About the Gray Maybe/Nirn, the term, to me, had the feeling of being the same thing as IS/IS NOT. But from what you just said, it pretty much is the same thing. Again, it's very confusing to me, so I apologize! Ktsukami31 (talk) 22:06, 31 August 2014 (GMT)
