Kinlord Kevarian Corelanya the Defender was the ruler of Clan Corelanya and the city of Sunport during the second half of the 12th century of the First Era. He partook in many wars against the Stone-Nest Agonians.

History

Reign

Kevarian Corelanya inherited the realm from his aunt, Psynande, following her death in 1E 1194. Though both her era and that of Kevarian's grandfather Orlemar were marked by rising tensions with the Argonians, , but it was under Kevarian's rule that the conflict between Solstice's two peoples intensified to its most violent stage. During his reign, three brief wars erupted. The three conflicts occurred in 1E 1172, 1E 1190, and 1E 1194. During these wars, Corelanya forces invaded Stone-Nest xanmeer cities, while Stone-Nest warbands penetrated deeply into Corelanya estates, even reaching the walls of Sunport. Kevarian fell in the last of these battles, dying honorably in combat.

Following his death, leadership of Clan Corelanya passed through several kinlords. Amid the prolonged stalemate with Argonian forces, a series of clan leaders were assassinated, plunging the realm into further instability. It was not until the rise of Kinlady Torinwe that a call for peace was finally championed. Orlemar was laid to rest in the Corelanya Crypt and remembered as the warrior and "civilized or the wilds". Kevarian features prominently in History of Clan Corelanya, authored by Regent Karinwe, the leader of Clan Corelanya during the Interregnum.
