Baroness Belene Chatillon was a Breton knight and a noble of the prominent Chatillon family. She founded the Order of the Iron Knot.[1]
History[edit]
Little is known of Belene Chatillon's personal history. She embarked on a notable journey as a valiant member of the renowned All Flags Navy and actively participated in Bendu Olo's assault on Thras in 1E 2260. Throughout the war, she courageously faced the Sload, and historical records confirm her ultimate sacrifice – the loss of an arm due to the perilous Sload rot. The exact date of Belene Chatillon's founding of the Order of the Iron Knot is unknown. Nevertheless, in tribute to her remarkable sacrifice, bravery, and selflessness, several members of the knightly order now proudly bear a unique black gauntlet on one hand, ensuring the enduring legacy of this exceptional figure.[1]
Before the loss of her arm to Sload rot, Baroness Chatillon's favored weapon was a sword. Remarkably, the hilt of her favoured weapon was said to have remained intact until 2E 582, at which point it was reportedly located somewhere in Tamriel.[2]
