Kenneth Lee Mayfield was the Art Director and a Game Designer at Bethesda Softworks in the early 1990s, who helped originate the series with The Elder Scrolls: Arena. Mayfield left Bethesda just before Arena released, joining Northstar Studios in January 1994.[1][2]
According to Jeff Perryman, Mayfield drew up the Map of Tamriel for the game and the Warhaft character sprite was based on Mayfield's visage.
