The 25th Anniversary Artwork Wallpaper released as a set of images celebrating 25 years since the release of Arena. The images are packed with details, referencing some of the most important places, people, and things to The Elder Scrolls and its fans.
Summary[edit]
Skyrim is represented in the top left by the snowy mountains, with the largest, center-most mountain representing the Throat of the World. To the left flies a dragon. Beneath the dragon is a Nordic ruin, likely Bleak Falls Barrow. Zig-zagging up the Throat of the World are the 7,000 steps to High Hrothgar, which itself may be represented in small detail to the bottom left of the very peak of the mountain. Down and to the right is the Shrine of Mehrunes Dagon, and to its right is the Shrine of Azura. Below, on the rock formation, is the city of Whiterun. Below it is a herd of mammoths.
Below Skyrim is a sliver of green landscape which represents High Rock. The city of Daggerfall can be seen near its center. Beneath High Rock is the tan, rocky area which represents Hammerfell. At its bottom left is a ship with a draconic figurehead. To the right is the city of Sentinel. To the right are two people atop camels and a camel following a person on foot. To the right is a Redguard structure surrounded by some megalithic standing stones.(?)
Beneath Hammerfell is a large island representing the Summerset Isle. Standing tall is the Crystal Tower, with Cloudrest represented at its base. Flying overhead are two brown gryphons. In the bay are five yaghra larvae. To the right is a yaghra spewer and two yaghra striders.
In the center of the image, running vertically, is the representation of Cyrodiil. At the top is the Imperial City, the centerpiece of the whole image. Masser and Secunda can be seen behind the clouds to the left of the White-Gold Tower. Beneath the Imperial City, on an island, is the "strange door", a portal to the Shivering Isles. Down and to the right is a broken Oblivion portal from the Oblivion Crisis. Down and to the left is a windmill with a path down to an Ayleid ruin.
To the right of Cyrodiil's light, forested strip are the darker, denser forests representing Valenwood. Near its center are three club-wielding giants around a campfire and some mammoth bones. To the bottom right is the city of Elden Root. The great Elden Tree stands out, but there are also four Bosmer abodes to its left.
To Valenwood's right is the representation of Elsweyr. At its bottom right is the city of Rimmen and its aqueducts. Up and to the left, a blue dragon is perched, possibly Mulaamnir. To the top left are a handful of Khajiit abodes.
Above Elsweyr is a small strip representing Black Marsh. Dotted in its marshes are blue Hist trees. On the far right is an Argonian structure.(?)
In the top right of the whole image is a representation of Morrowind. To the left, in the sea, is Vivec City, with Baar Dau bearing down upon it. To the right is Red Mountain, with the Ghostfence around it and Dagoth Ur on its left side. Below Red Mountain is a representation of mainland Morrowind. On the left, there's a netch. Then, on the right, there's a battle between a lone person and a Dwarven Colossus. To the right of that is a mushroom tower, possibly a representation of Sadrith Mora. To its right stands a silt strider. To the right of mainland Morrowind, it transitions to a representation of the Ashlands. Another silt strider is on the ground and some cliff racers fly overhead.
In the foreground, on the bottom right of the image, is a cliff edge facing all of Tamriel. On the bottom left is a cliff racer. To the right is M'aiq the Liar, resembling his Skyrim appearance. Beside him is a child's doll, three lockpicks, two soul gems in a bowl, and a bottle of skooma. To the right, the Adoring Fan is climbing. Up and to the right is an overturned bag, with a goat cheese wheel, two cabbages, and three sweet rolls. Up and to the right a person clad in black (possibly Jagar Tharn or a representation of a player character) holding the Staff of Chaos and a dagger with the "D" from the Daggerfall logo as its hilt. To the right is Sheogorath, holding the Staff of Sheogorath.

Notes[edit]
- The foreground contains "representation" for each of the mainline Elder Scrolls games. The Staff of Chaos represents Arena, the dagger represents Daggerfall, the cliff racer represents Morrowind, the Adoring Fan represents Oblivion, and M'aiq the Liar and his items represent Skyrim.
- The scene with the Dwarven Colossus is reminiscent of Talos. In Greek mythology, Talos was a bronze automaton who patrolled the shores of Crete to fend off invaders.
