Cassius the Elder is an Imperial and an unique NPC that is available from the start of the game. He will act as an advisor to you when you first start the game.

Cassius was an adventuring companion of Odar, along with Ysabel of Camlorn and Mazar.

His birthday is the 13th of First Seed.

Dialogue[edit]

As you start:

"Welcome to your kingdom, part of the Glorious Empire of Tamriel!
Every day you play is a year of your subjects' lives. Watch over them from birth to death, and help them prosper.
The fate of all the generations to come is in your hands."

The throne room will then appear:

"Ah, it appears King Odar has a decision to make, most likely important state affairs."

After Odar is gone:

"That's a shame about Odar, but his dynasty must endure. You need to choose the next ruler."

After choosing an heir:

"Very well. As the castle elder I will help you with the basics of building and running a castle. Our keep feels a bit small. Let's start by making more room."

Once you have cleared the Royal Task (?) and defeated the dragon in The Dragon Claw Maze, Cassius will describe what happens next:

As they returned from slaying the dragon, your adventurers reported seeing another creature casting a long, winged shadow. It seems the menace has not been fully subdued. You must prepare for another attack or risk the safety and prosperity of your kingdom!

Once you have defeated cleared the Royal Task (?) and defeated the frost dragon in (?), Cassius will describe what happens next:

Mere moments after the dragon let out its last roar, a matching call was heard echoing from miles away. A single dragon is rare enough, three is unprecedented! You must not falter in cleansing your kingdom of this threat, lest your subjects live in constant fear!
