Servus Vodaci

Servus Vodaci, an Imperial assassin, is a Penitus Oculatus agent. He occasionally operates out of The Restful Watchman and served as Imperial courier Caius's main contact. He will only appear after stage 400 of the related quest, as he waits for you to deliver some precious documents to him. Once you complete the quest he will disappear from the game.

Servus is armed with an Imperial sword and is equipped with leather armor, gauntlets and boots, as well as a torturer's hood to shroud his face. He also carries a random assortment of gold, lockpicks, food, drink and jewelry.

Dialogue

Servus spends all his time leaning against the inn's wall, waiting for you to show up. When you arrive, his greeting will depend on whether or not you are in the Legion and whether you've completed the Civil War questline:

"Ah. Uh, hello. Do you, uhh... have business with me?"

"Ah, it's you - you're a Legion soldier, right? You've been making quite a name for yourself. Say, you haven't seen a guy named Caius or Claudius, have you?"

"Ah, it's you! The hero of the Battle of Windhelm, the right hand of General Tullius! Say, you haven't seen a guy named Caius or Claudius, have you?"

If you ask him questions about himself, he will be rather elusive:

Who are you?

"Ha! I work in the shadows for the glory of- well, let's just leave it at that."

What are you doing in the Restful Watchman?

"Having a stiff drink. What does it look like?"

How often do you come to Bruma?

"As often as I need to."

Should you leave the conversation now he will mutter:

"Farewell. I'd, uh, best get back to drinking."

If you hand over the documents, he will however reward you with leveled gold and a random enchanted weapon, saying:

I have an important delivery for you - some reports.

"I was expecting Caius. He was carrying the documents. And now you have them. I guess that means he's dead, as we'd feared. Damn. He was a tough one. A proud one. He will have put up a fight. Maybe too much of a fight. This information will prove very useful, indeed. Thank you for bringing them to me. Here - have Caius's ransom money. Least I can do."

He will then walk off and disappear from the game with:

"Farewell. And, oh, would you look at that - I'm all out of coin. I'd, uh, best get back to the road. Ahem. Yes."
