Essarnartes

Essarnartes is a shrine to the Daedra Prince Mehrunes Dagon, in the Armun Ashlands.

It lies a short walk to the east of Bapatipi, a shrine to Molag Bal, and can be found by walking north along the road from Arvud, and then striking out westwards once you reach the Daedric Shrine of Hummurushtapi. A long walk to the rest will see Essarnartes arise on your left.

The occupants of this shrine are considerably more friendly than might be expected for followers of the Daedric Prince of Darkness and Destruction, and offer a number of services. The resident Daedra are more typically hostile however.

• The Alteration Skill Book, The Lunar Lorkhan, lies behind the statue of Dagon.

Notes

• In its original implementation during development, Essarnartes was a shrine dedicated to Azura, which may explain the unusual passiveness of the current residents. The dedication of the shrine was changed to Mehrunes Dagon shortly before the Dominions of Dust release.
