When the Tribunal came to power, the Indoril set out to transform Morrowind. Their reach extended to the far corners of the nation, and by and large they succeeded. The Indoril seat associated with House Mora, however, remained empty by tradition, filled in name by Indoril Nerevar, whose spirit could not rule it. So the region it commanded was left neglected where its neighbours flourished, an unacknowledged scar in the heart of Morrowind. What remained of the region eventually turned into a dangerous bog where packs of dangerous beasts prey on lost travelers. — Tamriel Rebuilt

Sundered Scar

Map of the Sundered Scar region

Sundered Scar is a region in the Mournhold District of Morrowind. It is an area of marshland along the southern coastline of the Inner Sea.

Its largest settlement is Darvonis. Sundered Scar borders Azura's Coast across the sea, the Mephalan Vales to the north and east, Lan Orethan to the south, and Aanthirin to the west.

• Maesabun — A burial complex in Sundered Scar that contains a strange mishmash of cultures.
• Marwat — A smugglers' cave in Sundered Scar.
• Misapit — A smuggler's cave located in Sundered Scar.
• Nirmissin — A Bloatspore-studded cave in Sundered Scar.
• Serasith Cavern — A flooded cavern located in Sundered Scar.
• Sirsadrorran — A cave with a shrine to the Daedric Prince Sheogorath inside located between Darvonis and Old Ebonheart.
• Talmahre Cavern — A Sundered Scar cavern containing an ancient Dunmer stronghold.

• Teknilashashulpi — A shrine to the Daedra Prince Azura located in Sundered Scar.

• Idaverrano — An extensive but flooded stronghold beneath the surface of the Inner Sea.

Dwemer Ruins

• Chunzefk — A Dwemer ruin northeast of Darvonis undergoing excavation by the Imperial Archaeological Society.

Grottoes

• Asohaldan Grotto — A rat-filled cavern in Sundered Scar.
• Suvales Grotto — A small grotto in Sundered Scar containing Dreugh and Slaughterfish.

Mines

• Silkun-Tirlo Egg Mine — An egg mine in Sundered Scar.

Tombs

• Dundras Ancestral Tomb — An expansive and labyrinthine tomb in Sundered Scar, containing undead.
• Rothrilis Ancestral Tomb — A compact, twisting tomb in Sundered Scar.
• Sarnat Ancestral Tomb — A flooded tomb located in Sundered Scar, north of Ildrim and inhabited by Dreugh.
